In recent times, has oppeared in the united States, particulary in those urban areas like New York and Miami, have large concentrations or Puerto Ricans and other Hispanics.

The great populary in Latino urban centers has prompted some to speculate that the genre will soon eclipse    salsa, merengue and other popular music in the preference of young Puerto Ricans and Hispanics. In part many be possible, due to lyrics on isues and subjects of interest to audiences: urban crime, sex and racism, topics that also became very popular hip-hop music.

- The reggaeton is a musical genre from reggae (and later the jamaican dancehall), with influences from hip-hop, wich was first developed in Panamá to mid 1980 and early 1990 in Puerto Rico.

The reggaeton roots back to the emergence of reggae in spanish in panamá at the mid - 19803, was later changed and modernized in Puerto Rico in 1990 and received its current name.

- Recognize what thoughts leave us with their songs.

CONTEXT

Medellín is a city and municipality in Colombia, capital of Antioquia department, located in the northwest of the country, in the center of Valle de Aburrá located in the Cordillera Central and bisected by the Medellin River. Account, according to estimates by the DANE, with a population of 2,636,101 inhabitants by the year 2010, making it the second largest city in Colombia. For its part, the metropolitan area, composed of 9 other municipalities, has an estimated population for 2010 of 3,740,000 people, making it the second largest city in the country.

Sergio Monsalve (Big Gio) Born in Medellin, Colombia, Raised in a humble alleyway in the city between bullets and vices, Big Gio road straight ahead through the influence of their parents, began to venture into the world of Hip-Hop Music at age 9; Bailando break dance in the streets and writing songs, Big Gio be able to know for the first time on the radio at age 14, in the 90's, with a rap song titled Is not Right, after the year 2004 Big Gio in his passion for urban music decided to venture in to the genre Reggaeton, making known their songs throughout the city, in nightclubs, radio stations, newspapers and local television and national platforms, gaining extensive experience as an Artist, Big Gio is has emerged as one of the best soloists of international urban genre, representing well with Colombia and leaving your name on high.

SHAKO

His real name is Santiago Gómez Chacón. Pipe Calderon was born on August 31, 1983 in Medellin, Colombia. his musical vein that comes from her mother when she was pregnant was recording his first album. Inherited attitudes leading to the music and his life is in a totally musical.

He began his career at an early age when using the guitar began to take music as a profession and summertime of life, leaning on genres like hip-hop, r & b, dance hall. concern about the composition of what has led to create themes for many renowned artists in their country, and has participated as a producer on numerous musical projects.
